Piola, in the ancient Italian dialect means “gathering place.”
That is what Piola the restaurant is all about: a convivial setting where customers meet to enjoy good company and a good Italian meal surrounded by light, colors and space. As befits a neighborhood undergoing constant construction and expansion, this 14th St space needed a fresh design that would still maintain the integrity of the restaurant group’s general style. Accordingly, this Piola boasts an industrial look with exposed pipes, exposed ducts and wood floors. High ceilings, large windows, and skylights bathe the space with natural light and give the new restaurant its loft-like feel. A second-story back deck offers a quiet outdoor space away from the constant rumblings on 14th Street.
Piola was created to become part of the local community in a dynamic way. The feel is warm, friendly and inviting.
